Aardbevingen gerelateerde sculptuur. Naar aanleiding van Marcel Hensema’s NNT voorstelling “Mijn Tweede”… (over Groningen en Groningers) Plaatstaal, glasgruis en LED licht.  2015 Ik zie dit object van 60 x 60 x 100 cm als een schaal model en hoop het vroeger of later nog eens ergens 3 x 3 x 5 meter te kunnen uitvoeren…   Dit schaalmodel is te zien in de beeldentuin naast het atelier.

“This is theatre like it was to be expected and foreseen”, is an eight hours long Jan Fabre stageplay. During the play an interview with Marcel Duchamp is screened. One sentence got stuck in my head: “After a while anything becomes beautiful…” From the abundance of movement, images, emotion, horror and nakedness… apparently that one sentence stood out. At that moment during the play I started pondering on Marcel Duchamp’s bicycle wheel paraphrasing it with my words, my own material… (bicycle wheel, glass and LED light) at the same time.. lees verder

Mind brooms I met Klara at Ko’s birthday party. She said something about ‘Digging light’. (Somewhere in the room on the floor there was a spade with light emitting glass) She spoke of it’s beauty, about creating light and the poetry of it. We talked about seeing and sensing. I told her how sometimes I succeed in transforming a ‘word’ into a physical object. She liked it and said something nice and with that swiped in one move all my doubts aside. A mind sweep. Ölandsteen Schaal: miljoenen jaren erosie zon op zon onder eb en vloed gevangen in vorm en huid van een glazen schaal   De Ölandsteen Schaal wordt gevormd op een in Öland gevonden strandsteen. Na 2 of drie keer in de oven valt de steen uit elkaar, dus moet er weer een nieuwe steen komen… Zo zijn alle schalen uniek. 2003

Halte Nijdam is een reactie op Voorko of beter misschien vloeit voort uit Voorko. Voorko gaat over oogsten, Halte Nijdam ook, maar toen ik naar een titel zocht drong zich het beeld op van een kapot geslagen bushalte hokje. Halte Nijdam is de bushalte die 15 jaar voor onze deur stond, maar nu is verdwenen. 2011
