Auvézère is een horizontale en een topografische ordening van onbewerkte Scandinavische natuursteen (een steengezin). Elke gebruikte steen staat zelfstandig op 3 of 4 RVS pootjes. De hoogtes zijn: 20, 27 en 36cm. Auvézère is geschikt voor binnen en buiten. De opstelling van de stenen wordt door mij bepaald. Bij elke groep wordt een plattegrondje gemaakt, en de stenen worden genummerd. (Voorts houd ik nog een fotokopie van de opstelling in mijn archief). There is a crack in everything, that’s how the light gets in. (Leonard Cohen) Glass pours out of the car windows thus seducing the public to perceive the uneasy beauty of destruction and decay… in the late 80ties I myself was confronted with a smashed car window (radio stolen)  … although the scene was one of shock and anger, I was also struck by the beauty of the shattered glass in the moist street light. Burning Glass 20.14 (Brandend glas 20.14) After 22 years I stopped in 2014 using discarded copper water heater tops… its time for the bottom now. The bottom is fun, because it has a big hole, so this version also shines down. Al lot more complicated to make, but worth-while. I’m also experimenting with LED light for this object. Picknick in Zeeland II  (in the series: Safe places in the lowlands) The first Picnic in Z was a hiding place, safe for the rising water, Picnic i Z II is besides that also a tribute to the water. The wave that washes through the house provides besides a lovely view also protection from the rain and the sun.
